JeffStreet’s Staff

I am the minister of Community Groups at JeffStreet. I have been married for 18 years to Michelle and we have two boys, Drake and Aiden. We are from Northern Michigan in a small town of Mancelona, Michigan. I served 4 years as church administrator in Michigan, then in 2001 we moved to Ancona, Illinois where I ministered at a small church and began seminary studies at LCU: M. Div. in Old Testament in 2007 and M.A. in Christian Education in 2008.  I started part-time as bookkeeper at JeffStreet in 2005.  I enjoy instrumental rock guitar music, Star Trek, and leading my Community Group and reading about Community Group ministry.  If you would like to know more about Community Groups, I would love to talk to you.

I've worked at JeffStreet for 11 years now.  From a very early age, I wanted to use the gifts God has given me to work in a church office. I love my job and the people I work with (and NO, I was NOT paid to say that! LOL!).  My husband, Mike and I have been married for almost 30 years.  We have two boys who are also married, and who have given us 4 beautiful granddaughters . . . so far.  Besides the ultimate joy of being "Grammy", I enjoy long motorcycle rides with my husband and friends, especially in the Fall season.  When the weather is not suitable for riding, or when I don't have my grandchildren, I enjoy making jewelry, making cards . . . pretty much anything crafty.   I also have a very soft spot for animals, and have been blessed with an awesome little dog (100+lbs) who has been part of our family for about 9 years now.  She was given to us by church friends--the late Scott Walker and his family.

Early Childhood Ministry, Child of God, Wife and Mom keeps me busy here in Lincoln. I am daily learning to be a living example of Christ and the grace He gave me on the cross. My grace journey has lead me to serving families the past 3years in children's ministry in Chicago and here in Lincoln. Serving in children's ministry allows me to enjoy my passion of investing in the life long journey of Christian Education for both children and their families. I also enjoy meeting so many different adults who attend our church as they lovingly volunteer and lead our children. I daily join my husband Steve as partner, friend and love and I try my best to nurture the 3 children (Keller 5, Charlotte 2 and Norah 3months) God gave me so that they might enjoy His grace too.

I have been the Children’s Minister at JeffStreet for the past 11 years.  I have a BA in Elementary Education from Blackburn College in Carlinville, IL and taught and coached in the public schools for 6 years.  Following 2 years of teaching Pre-K in a Christian School and 8 years of home daycare, I began working in Children’s Ministry at Central Christian Church in Charleston, IL. I have been married to Duane for 26 years and we have three sons; Jeremy 23, Trevor 21, and Chad 18.  In my spare time, I enjoy reading, visiting family and friends and traveling.

I am from several places but I claim Indiana to be home.  I just finished my Masters of Arts in Counseling and graduated with a Masters of Arts in Worship Studies a few years ago.  Currently, I am waiting to get licensed so I can counsel for real and get paid for it.  In my free time I like to sing and play the flute for the worship team at JeffStreet and you can usually find me singing in other random places too.   I collect owls because they are owlmazing!  And lastly, and most importantly, I am looking forward to working for Christ in worship ministry and/or pastoral counseling, in the meantime I love answering the phones, attending to the website, occasionally assisting Bill Lewis (when he doesn't have an intern) and greeting guests at JeffStreet (and I am being completely serious!)!
