JeffStreet Journey
As a Word-Directed congregation, seeking to consistently offer you opportunities to grow in relationship to both the Living and Written Word, the adult discipleship team invites all adults in the year 2009 to continue on the Jeff Street Journey. The Journey consists of a series of steps for you to take to become better acquainted with our Biblical core values. These steps often take the shape of short, 5 or 6 week elective courses offered on Wednesday evenings. Alongside these introductory steps , we offer classes or studies of interest for those who have been living our core values for some time (i.e. more advanced steps on the Journey).

Following is a description of the classes that are being offered for adults.

¨ Love & Respect—
Bob & Patsy Wilson
A DVD centered course with Emerson Eggerich emphasizing a man’s need for respect and a woman’s need for love.
¨ A History of Christian Spiritual Practices—
Peter Stevens and David Mosley
Learning from the men and women who came before us, join David and Peter as we explore how people have devoted their lives to Christ from the first church to now.
¨ The Gospel of Mark—
Dustin Fulton and Joe Schneider
Mark is the shortest, easiest to read, and fastest paced of the four Gospels, yet it contains a very rich account of Jesus' ministry on earth. This class will go through the text and help you understand Mark and how it applies to your life.
¨ Life After Baptism: The Meaning of Discipleship—
Bruce Parmenter
This is a seven-week course on spiritual formation. Topics covered: baptism, grace, the Holy Spirit, love, the Lord’s Supper, prayer, and vocation.
¨ Fearless—
Don & Deb Hoover
A study based on Max Lucado’s book and DVD for those who are tired of gloom and doom and ready to step out of fear once and for all.
